The Dukes Course is located a short 20 minute drive from The Clarendon
The only Scottish Heathland venue in the ‘Home of Golf’.
The natural heathland setting amongst established trees, gorse and heather forms a unique golf experience. First laid out in 1995, the panoramic views over the town of St. Andrews and the Bay beyond are stunning. Carnoustie Golf Links is a 20 minute drive from The Clarendon.
Carnoustie Golf Links is an iconic, world-leading golf destination in Scotland and home to ‘Golf’s Greatest Test’. Golf has been played at the Links since the 16th century and it was Carnoustie natives who went on to establish the Professional Golfer’s Associations of America and Australia.
The Championship Course has hosted eight Open Championships, two Women’s Open’s and two Seniors Open’s making it one of the very few to have done so in the UK. It is one of the three courses used for the annual Dunhill Links, the others being Kingsbarns and the Old Course in St Andrews and in 2018 The Open Championship returned to the course. The Championship Course was voted The Best Golf Course in the World in 2019 and Best Scottish Golf Course over £100 in 2018. Carnoustie Golf Links was also voted Scotland’s Best Golf Experience, Best Clubhouse and Best Catering (The Rookery Restaurant) in 2019, as well as Environmental Golf Course of The Year in 2018.

Monifieth Golf Links features two traditional links golf courses that provide year-round golfing opportunities, and it is conveniently located just a 15-minute drive from The Clarendon. We are pleased to offer preferential rates for our guests.
The Medal Course at Monifieth Golf Links boasts a rich history, having been established for well over a century. It is one of two remarkable courses at this esteemed club, situated on the eastern coastline of Scotland.
Although golf was first played in this region in the 17th century, the Monifieth Golf Club was only officially founded at the close of the 19th century.
The Medal Course has proudly hosted prestigious events such as the British Girls Amateur Championship and the R&A Junior Open, and it continues to present an engaging challenge for golfers of all skill levels.
