1. PAYMENTS & CONFIRMATIONS.
Reservations are not confirmed until you receive a booking number. You will receive this via an email, within a few minutes of booking. For stays up to 30 days, payment in full is taken at the time of the booking for the duration of the stay. For longer term stays from 2 to 6 months, payments must be made monthly in advance via bank transfer or by credit card.
2. CHECK IN INFORMATION.
Although we have an onsite office , there is no reception at The Clarendon. You will receive a PIN code 2 days prior to your arrival via SMS and email. Check in can be anytime after 3pm on day of arrival. We use Remotelock Wi-Fi, keyless smart locks.
3. 7 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY.
We operate a strict 7 day cancellation policy. This means you can cancel anytime up until 7 days before your check in date and we will refund in full. Within 7 days any refund for cancellation is solely at our discretion.
4. ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT.
All major debit/credit cards, American Express and bank transfers.
5. Room UNAVAILABILITY.
Should your booked room be unavailable for whatever reason, The Clarendon reserve the right to relocate your booking to another provider in Dundee. Should this not be possible The Clarendon will offer you a full refund. Under such circumstances The Clarendon’s liability is limited to the payment received for the accommodation booked with The Clarendon and now being cancelled. This liability does not extend to travel commitments or other costs. In such an event we would naturally do all we can to offer alternative but equivalent accommodation. Please also refer to Force Majeure.
6. NO SMOKING POLICY.
The Clarendon operates on a strict NO SMOKING POLICY and reserves the right to levy a £100.00 deep cleaning charge in the event of you smoking in the Room or common areas of the building.
7. PETS.
Pets are not allowed in The Clarendon .
8. AMENDMENTS AND NO SHOWS.
Amendments may be accepted at the discretion of management and if acceptable will be subject to a £25 administration fee. We consider a No Show to be when 24 hours has elapsed after the start check in time. If for any reason you do not wish to stay, please let us know as soon as possible.
9. EXTENDING YOUR STAY.
Extensions will require a new reservation for the additional date(s), subject to Availability and are subject to a possible rate change.
10. SUB LETTING.
Sub letting at The Clarendon is strictly forbidden. When you make the booking you must specify the main guests full name. We reserve the right to ask to see photographic ID to confirm identity. If we suspect that subletting is occurring, the booking will be cancelled. We will delete the door PIN code and expect the guest to remove their belongings.
11. COMPLAINTS.
The Clarendon makes every reasonable effort to ensure the freshness, quality and value of your accommodation. In the event of a complaint, guests may contact The Clarendon during their stay at the Hotel and we will do our utmost to assist you.
12. EARLY CHECK–OUTS.
Checkouts can be anytime up until 11 am on the day of departure..
13. LATE CHECK OUTS ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE.
The Clarendon reserves the right to charge your booking card for unauthorised late check out′s at the rate of £25 per hour. Check-out time is 11am.
14. INFORMATION.
Majority of the accommodation information provided on The Clarendon website is provided by us but is subject to adjustment. Whilst every care has been taken to ensure that all information provided online and by telephone is accurate, The Clarendon cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions it may inadvertently contain.
15. COMPLIMENTARY WIFI TERMS OF USAGE.
You understand that by selecting “Agree”, you are registering to The Clarendon complimentary WIFI Access service. You agree to be responsible for any content you browse or download using the free connection.
The terms & conditions herein are applicable in addition to The Clarendon General Terms and Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy and Fraud and Abuse Protection. For the avoidance of doubt, these terms and conditions, subject to the amendment provisions contained therein, shall continue to apply after the free service period as long as the service is provided.
The wireless Internet access provided is for complimentary use by customers only.
Wireless access is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and The Clarendon does not warrant that this service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Users should be aware that there are security, privacy, and confidentiality risks inherent in wireless communications and technology, and The Clarendon does not make any assurances or warranties relating to such risks.
By using wireless Internet access, a user agrees that The Clarendon is not liable for any costs or damages arising from use of this service and The Clarendon does not control any materials, information, products, or services on the Internet.
The User agrees not to use the service in violation of any laws or regulations applicable from time to time or to misuse the service in any manner deemed inappropriate by The Clarendon.
The Clarendon reserves the right to terminate the user’s account at any time due to breach or non-compliance of any of the terms and conditions referred to above which are applicable and binding on the user at all times.
16. OCCUPANTS.
Guests confirm that The Clarendon is NOT their principle place of residence, and that guests are checking in and staying on a ‘hotel style’ nightly basis. Only persons notified to us prior to arrival may occupy the room. The number of persons permitted to occupy the room is limited to the number of beds available and this limit may not be exceeded
17. DAMAGE LIABILITY.
It is expected that the rooms are left in a clean and tidy order. Guests are responsible for any damage to the room and its contents during their stay which has occurred due to negligence or omission. Any damage must be reported to us without delay. We reserve the right to take payment from the credit card that was used to make the booking.
Any lost property will be held for 14 days and if it is not claimed it will be donated to a local charity. We reserve the right to charge guests who cause disturbance to other guests and tenants.
A) It is illegal for guests to tamper with any fire alarm devices, extinguishers or the sprinkler mist system. You are placing yourself and other guests in danger. Should the fire alarm sound, leave your apartment immediately and follow the fire procedure displayed on the rear of the door. There is a fire blanket located in the kitchen which should be used if appropriate.
B) Maintenance staff are only available outside of 9am – 5pm Mon–Sun for high–level emergencies (ie: leaking roof; fire; blocked drains/toilet which could result in a leak/flood; no heat or hot water; non–working hob/oven). Non-emergency requests will be attended to within 24 hours.
18. INJURY LOSS/DAMAGE.
The use of The Clarendon and car park and its equipment is entirely as the guest’s risk and The Clarendon accepts no responsibility for injury, accident, damage or loss to person or property relating to the guest or any of his or her party during their stay. Guests should ensure that they are adequately insured.
19. FORCE MAJEURE.
The owner and the agent do not accept liability or pay compensation for any loss, damage or expense where our obligations are prevented or affected by reason of Force Majeure. Force Majeure means any event which we or the owner providing the service could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid – such as war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, epidemic, pandemic, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, closure of airports or ports, technical problems with transport, governmental action and all other similar events.
21. CCTV.
The common areas of our building are covered by CCTV. All data is stored off-site courtesy of Eagle Eye Networks.
22. STRICT POLICIES.
SMOKING – Please do not smoke or vape in The Clarendons walkway or common areas.
PARTY – No parties including hen and stag parties.
LOUD MUSIC – Please show consideration for other guests.
